AdvoCare’s 24 Day Challenge is broken into two parts. The first 10 days are known as the Cleanse. The next 14 days are the Max. We’ll focus on the Cleanse for this site. If you have the 24 day challenge, you should have a coach who is helping you with it. The information here is just as additional reference so that if it’s 3am and you are looking for some extra information or instructions clarification etc. Having said that – please send in your questions if you are taking the challenge and you are not getting support. I’ll post answers to general questions on this site for everyone to benefit from.
The easiest way for me to explain this phase is that the cleanse is more of a clean out the filters in your body kind of thing. This is so that your body can absorb more of the nutrients during the Max phase.
Here are some dietary suggestions that may enhance your results during the cleanse phase:
Eat More:
1 Veggies: salads during the day and steamed at night will scrub your system
2 Fruit: fibrous and low glycemic choices (apples, grapefruit, berries)
3 Healthy Fats: avocado, nuts/seeds, olives/olive oil
4 Clean Proteins: feed muscle and reduce appetite (tuna and salmon will aid in cleansing; eggs/chicken/beef would be secondary options; stay away from processed lunch meats)
5 Clean Complex Carbs: rice, hummus, oatmeal
Avoid or Minimize:
6 Fried foods, refined sugars, corn or white starches, or bread
7 Wheat products: bread, crackers, etc.
8 Dairy: cheese, yogurt, milk, white sauces or dressing
9 Alcohol: you’re on a cleanse…hold off for 10 days
1 0 Coffee or soda: instead drink water or SPARK
This phase contains a box of AdvoCare Herbal Cleanse. There are two flavor options… Citrus or Peaches and Cream. Inside the herbal cleanse is a grid covering the 10 days. For maximum effect, pay attention to the details and take your supplements correctly and consistently. This will give you the most bang for your buck so to speak. I just clipped out the grid and put it on the fridge so it would be handy.
If you got the 24 day challenge kit then you have OmegaPlex as well. This is where you get your omega 3 fatty acids. Take these with food. You’ll need these in this phase as well as the Max phase.
Optionally, you can add the meal replacement shakes during this phase. It’s a great alternative for those who are on the go or want a very fast very nutrious breakfast. I wasn’t a breakfast eater and found that’s one of the things that helps you to lose weight. You body wants nutrition when you wake up. Give your body what it wants.
Whether you use the shakes or not, you do want to eat breakfast.
My favorite of all is SPARK. The kit came with a box of spark for each phase. When I wake up, I have a spark. I mix it and drink it as soon as I am up and moving around. One per day wasn’t good enough for me so I get it by the tubs now. I want one when I wake up and another in the mid afternoon. Since I’ve started drinking Spark, I no longer want sodas of any kind. I don’t want coffee or tea either.
